The Knights In Armor Nonprofit Organization is committed to providing timely and compassionate financial relief to individuals and families experiencing temporary financial hardship. This policy outlines the criteria, process, and limitations for receiving assistance through our aid programs, including rent and utility grants, food vouchers, and access to financial resources.  Each household may apply once every six months, with a maximum of three lifetime applications.  

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for aid:

• Be a resident of Edmond, Oklahoma.
   
• Demonstrate a temporary financial hardship due to circumstances such as job loss, illness, natural disaster, or unexpected life event.
   
• Provide valid identification and documentation to support the need for assistance.
   
• Agree to a brief intake interview and assessment by a Knights In Armor representative.
   

We offer the following types of aid based on need and available funding:

• Rent & Utility Grants – One-time or short-term assistance to prevent eviction or disconnection of essential services.
   
• Food Vouchers – Grocery store vouchers or gift cards to ensure families have access to nutritious food.
   
• Financial Workshops – Free educational sessions to promote long-term financial stability.
   
• Referrals & Resources – Connection to additional community services and nonprofit partners.
   

1. Apply Online – Submit an application at www.knightsinarmor.org/aid-application.
    
2. Documentation Review – Upload or present required documents, such as photo ID, income verification, lease or utility bill, etc.
    
3. Interview & Assessment – A case manager will conduct a short interview to assess the applicant’s needs and eligibility.
    
4. Approval & Disbursement – Qualified applicants will receive aid within 7–10 business days, depending on funding availability.
    

• Assistance is not guaranteed and is subject to funding availability.

• The maximum amount available for assistance is $500, determined on a case-by-case basis.

• No money is provided to the individual; the assistance will be provided to the vendor.
   
• Knights In Armor reserves the right to prioritize applicants based on urgency and risk level.
   
• Aid is intended for temporary support, not ongoing financial assistance.
   
• Repeat requests require participation in our financial workshops.
   

All applicant information is kept confidential and used solely to determine aid eligibility and tracking services provided, per our Privacy Policy.

Submission of false or misleading information on this application may result in denial of assistance, termination of current or future benefits, and possible legal action, including referral to law enforcement for fraud investigation.
